Voltage King Dekunle Fuji, Drops New Single

 US based music company, Voltage King, a subsidiary of Dizzle Films owned by prolific film maker; Adedayo Odubawo is working with its new signee, Dekunle Fuji, a popular Nigerian musician as he makes a comeback into the music industry.

 
The label has released the first single titled ‘Carry Go’ from Dekunle Fuji’s new body of works. Armed with the production imprint of veteran music producer, ID Cabasa and a crispy video shot and directed by Yinka Davis, ‘Carry Go’ is a groovy song with infectious melody and the hook will definitely catch the ears of every listener. The melodic jam will also evoke as much nostalgia that’s heightened by its familiar chorus, ‘Carry Me Dey Go’.

The new single will surely delight the fans of Dekunle Fuji who have waited for so long for his return.

Brexit: EU threatens UK with legal action if plans for controversial bill are not reversed

  The European Union (EU) has told the United Kingdom (UK) it may take legal action against the British government if it does not reverse plans to introduce a bill that would break international law by overriding parts of the EU Withdrawal Agreement designed to avoid a border across the island of Ireland.   The UK's Withdrawal Agreement designed to remove the UK from the EU was signed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and approved in the Westminster parliament last year following difficult negotiations with the EU.   After an emergency meeting on Thursday, September 10, of the joint EU-UK committee that is dedicated to enacting the deal, the EU’s executive body said the plan by the British government undermines trust, places negotiations to reach future deals in future in question, and puts at risks the Good Friday Agreement.   EU co-chair of the joint committee Maroš Šefèoviè told his counterpart British cabinet minister Michael Gove that if the bill were adopted “it ...

Resident doctors suspend their nationwide strike

  The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended the nationwide industrial action.   The association began the strike on Monday, September 7 to press home their demand which includes payments of its COVID-19 allowances, health insurance for frontline workers and others.   The President of NARD, Dr Aliyu Sokumba, confirmed the suspension of the strike this evening. The suspension came after the Federal Government and the doctors reached an agreement at a meeting presided over by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, in Abuja today.   At the meeting, the FG made it known that it had paid N9.3bn to insurance companies for Life Group Insurance and payment of death benefits for health workers, adding that enrolment was by the submission of nominal rolls by the various health institutions, which NARD had been mandated at a previous meeting to accomplish.   On the payment of outstanding 2014, 2015, and 2016 arrears, th...
